Worldwide Disposal Services (WWDS) is committed to providing high-quality service to our customers through operations that are safe, responsible, and sustainable. Worldwide Disposal Services is responsible for managing its operations and billing its customers. This page provides terms and conditions, disclosures, and additional information to you regarding some of our most common charges that you may see in your Service Agreement and on your invoice. Our fees also help us to recover our direct and indirect costs of operation and to achieve an acceptable profit margin. Please refer to the information below to help you understand the charges and fees you may see on your invoice.
Due to CORVID-19, All trash MUST be BAGGED and TIED before being put in the can. If the garbage is not bagged and tied, the can WILL NOT be picked up or emptied. We STRICTLY enforce these terms to help slow down the virus.
Bagging and tying the bags keep your trash can and environment clean and odor-free, our employees safe, and the potential spread of the virus low. Boxes should be broken down flat and placed inside the can.
Written Service Agreements and Franchise or Municipal Customers
If you have a written Service Agreement with Worldwide Disposal Services, the types and amounts of rates, charges, and fees that apply to your service, and terms related to changes in those rates, charges, and fees, are outlined in your written Service Agreement. If you request or require an additional service that is not addressed in your written Service Agreement, additional charges will apply. If you receive service from Worldwide Disposal Services according to other forms of government or HOA agreement, your rates, charges, and fees (including increases) will comply with the applicable agreement.
Customers Without a Written Service Agreement
If you are a customer who is receiving service from Worldwide Disposal Services without a written Service Agreement, your services are provided according to the terms on your invoice and the terms disclosed on this page. If you request a service modification during the service period, the requested changes will be reflected on your next invoice. World Wide Disposal Service reserves the right to change or increase your rates, charges, and fees at its discretion with advanced notice to you, which notice will be in the form of a change on your invoice. If you do not agree to such change, you must notify the Worldwide Disposal Services of your disagreement or terminate service. By paying an invoice or continuing services after a rate, charge, or fee change. Additionally, some or all of the fees described on this page will apply to your service, including, but not limited to, container delivery and removal fees (at the prevailing rate for the World Wide Disposal Service providing your service at the time of delivery or removal).
What is our refund policy?
Any requests for refund or cancellation will not be granted if the request is made after the first pickup. If you should cancel your service with us for any reason, please be advised that there are no refunds of any kind. Before we repossess any receptacle, the receptacle must be empty and clean as there is a cleaning fee of $20.
There were no refunds, except for items that were not collected due to a proper cancellation request for bulk items. All requests for refund or cancellation will only be granted if a request is made by 12:00 noon the day before the scheduled collection day. For example: If the scheduled large appliance pick-up day is Thursday, a refund or cancellation request must be made by Wednesday (the day before), before 12:00 noon.
Environmental Recovery Fee
The Environmental Recovery Fee (“ERF”) is an enterprise-wide recurring fee set percentage of all invoice charges, except taxes. It is not a tax, surcharge, or fee mandated by or remitted to any governmental or regulatory agency. The ERF is intended to help Worldwide Disposal Services recover both direct and indirect costs associated with the operation of its collection, transfer, landfill, recycling, and landfill gas-to-energy services and facilities nationwide in an environmentally sustainable manner, and it includes an amount designed to achieve an acceptable operating margin. The current ERF is 16.5% but is subject to change at any time at Worldwide Disposal Service’s discretion. Your ERF will be combined with your FRF on your invoice.
Fuel Surcharge Fee
The Fuel Surcharge Fee (“FSF”) is an enterprise-wide recurring fee fluctuating percentage of all invoice charges, except the ERF and taxes. It is not a tax, surcharge, or fee mandated by or remitted to any governmental or regulatory agency. The FSF is intended to help Worldwide Disposal Service recover both direct and indirect fuel, petrochemical, and compressed natural gas costs associated with the operation of its collection, transfer, landfill, and recycling services and facilities nationwide, and it includes an amount designed to achieve an acceptable operating margin. Each quarterly FSF rate is determined by cross-referencing Worldwide Disposal Service’ FSF Table with the peak weekly diesel price per gallon, published in the 30-day period ending on the 15th of the month reported by the U.S. Department of Energy Information Administration "On-Highway Diesel Fuel Prices" index. Worldwide Disposal Service reserves the right to change its method of determining the FSF at any time at its discretion. Your FSF will be combined with your ERF on your invoice and it is non-refundable..
The Administrative Fee (“ADMIN”) is an enterprise-wide recurring fee. It is not a tax, surcharge, or fee mandated by or remitted to any governmental or regulatory agency. The ADMIN is intended to help World Wide Disposal Service recover costs associated with the administrative processes related to accounting maintenance, invoicing, and payment processing for all customers nationwide. It includes an amount designed to achieve an acceptable operating margin. The ADMIN is currently $5.95 per invoice but is subject to change at any time at Worldwide Disposal Services discretion.
Throughout the course of providing your service, Worldwide Disposal Services may increase your rates for service. Rate increases necessitate overtime to keep up with increasing operations costs and ensure Worldwide Disposal Services Services maintains an acceptable operating margin and/or an acceptable rate of return on its investment in the services provided. Worldwide Disposal Services reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion the amount of all rate increases. If your service is subject to a written Service Agreement (or other written agreement applicable to your service), your rate increase will comply with any limitations outlined in such Service Agreement, if any. Worldwide Disposal Services will provide prior notice of any rate increases, which notice may be in the form of a change on your invoice.
Recycling Processing Charge
The Recycling Processing Charge (“RPC”) is an enterprise-wide fluctuating charge imposed on customers receiving recycling services. The RPC intends to help Worldwide Disposal Services recover both direct and indirect costs associated with the processing of materials received at its recycling facilities nationwide, necessitated by high levels of contamination, strict specifications by purchasers of commodities, and highly fluctuating commodity values. Cancellations, Container Delivery and Removal Fees
Worldwide Disposal Services provides containers (in some cases for a rental charge) for your convenience concerning the collection and on-site storage of your solid waste and recyclable materials, while Worldwide Disposal Service is providing your service.
Worldwide will charge a cleaning fee of $20 to the customer for any unclean receptacles and $10 for cart collection if the customer cancels their services.
In some cases, the containers are specifically designed to function with WorldWide Disposal Service vehicles and associated equipment. Container delivery and removal fees are intended to offset WorldWide Disposal Service’ operational costs of sending a truck to deliver your container(s) at the start of your service and removing your container(s) when your service terminates, as well as costs related to cleaning, repairs, and refurbishment of the containers following your use.
Container delivery and removal fees are set by each operator and are subject to change at any time at that operating subsidiary’s discretion. If your service is not subject to a written Service Agreement, you will be charged the operating subsidiary’s prevailing rate for container delivery or removal when your container is delivered or removed. Receptacles are delivered within an estimate of 5 - 10 business days after payment is received. All customers are responsible for the container(s) once it has been delivered to their address.
If the trash receptacle is lost, stolen, or damaged, there is a $150.00 replacement charge; you may call our office for the details. The customer is responsible for the cleanliness of their container. All receptacles must be returned in the condition to which it was delivered clean and odor-free. Worldwide Disposal Services requires a $30 security deposit from ALL New customers.
Service Interruption Charge
If you fail to pay your invoice on or before its due date, World Wide Disposal Service reserves the right to suspend your service until you pay all outstanding invoices. We also reserve the right to charge you a service interruption fee. Service interruption fees are intended to mitigate some of the Worldwide Disposal Service’s loss of return on the container assets in the customers’ possession and interruption in its business and costs associated with stopping and restarting service. Service interruption charges are set by each operating subsidiary, up to any amount allowed under applicable law, and are subject to change at any time at that operating subsidiary’s discretion. All payments received on or after the indicated late date will be subject to a late charge, with no exceptions. Any Payment received after 4:30 pm will be applied to the account on the next business day. Accounts will be scheduled for interruption if full payment has not been received before the interruption date listed on your invoice. If your account has been interrupted, full payment must be received before 4:30 pm the day before your pickup day. Our quarters are standard; paying your invoice/statement after interruption does not constitute the beginning of a new quarter. Please allow 10 business days for your payment to process when making an online payment or making an automatic bill pay payment through your bank. Payments are posted towards the account on the date on which it is received. We are not responsible for any postal complications or bank guarantees. When paying your invoice on www.worldwidedisposalservice.com, you must provide the account number found on the front page of your invoice to ensure accurate posting of your payment. If payment has not been cleared before the indicated interruption date, trash services will be temporarily be suspended until full payment is received (quarterly fee + late fee). Your trash pickup service will resume on the next pickup date for your area. Failure to receive an invoice does not release your obligation to pay. All customers are subject to a one-time, non-refundable, $15.00 set-up fee at the time of the initial sign-up. If service has been interrupted and the delivery of a can is necessary, or a month or more time has passed, there will be a second $15.00 non-refundable fee for reconnection of service. The customer must pay the reconnection fee must be paid by the customer to receive your trash receptacle.
Late Payment Fee
If you fail to pay your invoice on or before its due date, Worldwide Disposal Services reserves the right to charge you a late payment fee. Late payment fees are intended to help World Wide Disposal Service recover its costs incurred in managing customers’ unpaid accounts. Late payment fees are set by each operating subsidiary, up to any amount allowed under applicable law, and are subject to change at any time at our discretion.
~ Do not give any payments to employees on the trash truck. Worldwide Disposal Services (WWDS) is not responsible for lost, stolen, or destroyed payments.
~There will be a $30.00 NSF charge assessed for returned checks each time a check is returned for any reason. This charge will be added to your account, along with the quarterly fee + late fee. Service will be interrupted immediately, and this amount must be paid by money order, cashier's check, debit, or credit card only for your service to be restored. Please be aware that the customer must pay the full balance must be paid each quarter to keep your account current and prevent collection activities. We are required to inform you that customers must pay any late charges to prevent interruption of service. Also, neglecting to pay the remaining balances may result in a temporary interruption of service. This notice and your invoice/statement will be the only notice you will receive concerning interruption of service. It is important that you understand the charges on your invoice; should you have questions, please feel free to contact our office.
Some services provided by World Wide Disposal Service (including equipment rental) may be subject to state, local, and/or franchise taxes or fees. If applicable, such state, local, and/or franchise taxes or fees will be separately itemized on your invoice, collected by World Wide Disposal Service, and submitted to the appropriate taxing authority and/or franchise authority.
(a) WWDS shall not be in default for its failure to perform or delay in performance caused by events or significant threats of events beyond its reasonable control, whether or not foreseeable, including, but not limited to, strikes, labor trouble, riots, imposition of laws or governmental orders, fires, acts of war or terrorism, acts of God, and the inability to obtain equipment, and WWDS shall be excused from performance during the occurrence of such events. (b) These terms and conditions shall be construed in accordance with the law of the state in which the Services are provided. (c) Different terms and conditions may apply to residential collection customers covered by municipal franchise, homeowner's association or individual customer agreements. (d) In the event WWDS successfully enforces its rights against Customer hereunder, Customer shall be required to pay WWDS's attorneys' fees and court costs. (e) Customer understands and agrees that by providing Customer's phone number(s), email, and home address in connection with these terms, Customer authorizes WWDS and its agents to contact Customer regarding this account with an artificial or prerecorded message or using auto-dialing equipment at the provided phone number(s), including cell phone numbers if provided, or email, and home address.
